i disliked amelia a lot when i was younger, but these days i can’t help but grin and want to give her noogies. she’s so damned cute.

When I first watched Slayers I was very much into magical girls and stuff that was pink, cute, sparkly, girly and fluffy. Amelia is all of those things.

And I seem to have a thing for liking the characters that get bashed a lot. I also have a thing for characters that start out as very annoying, and turn out to be queens of character development.

I don’t like Amelia. It’s not that she’s spoiled but she annoys almost everyone and ranting about love and justice and being so loud. but i always wonder how old was she when she went through puberty (( or like, when did her breasts grow)) because first, she’s 12 and second, she has bigger breasts then Lina does despite their ages. 

Kinda sounds like you might not know much about Amelia and her background. The running gag in the show is that Lina is forever cursed with tiny boobs… while the rest of the girls around her as well endowed. Also.. If you look at Naga (Amelia’s older sister) It’s clear that big boobs run in the family. Amelia is 14 in the Anime and 15 in the novels. She’s always had them..and they keep growing as she gets older. And the seasons go on. 

Spoiled is the one thing Amelia isn’t. Not even close. Yes she is a princess, but honestly.. Lina uses Amelia’s princess status to spoil -herself- a hell of a lot more then Amelia ever does. In fact, Amelia never uses her princess status unless she has to. (Once to get into Brass Rackets, and another time to get into the dungeon in Atlas city)

The Justice thing, though annoying yes, has a point. It’s easy to forget where it stems from, but it’s because of what happens in Amelia’s family. The back stabbing.. the murder of her mother.. Her older sister running away. Phil uses the pain of all those things and turns them into Justice and love… and now left as a single parent to his 2nd daughter.. he drills this into her since she was almost a baby. 

Amelia i sweet, kind hearted, abused (by Lina mostly), and a lil naive.. but she is just another odd ball in the group of odd balls. She matures over time thanks to her friends. She is a great leader, who is also very down to earth. She puts her life on the line for strangers, and even more, for her friends.. But.. not everyone will like her, of course.. But she is a lot more then just that annoying squeaky girl who goes on and on about Justice.
